MERGING

Updated: Jun 4, 2020

WRITTEN BY NANDA NAIR A

A short poem to enjoy when you feel alone.

And that thought of mine was pensive,

So into my consciousness i dived.

Though melancholic outside was I,

There lies a wonder in me!

And up the sky I watched,

The birds fly so high!

A flutter for a second felt I,

And then disappeared into my

Loneliness.

Like a milk turning into curd,

My heart went into sleep.

Serenity defined me.

Waking up my heart, I

Watched the fishes swim.

What so alike in us?

And as I merged with nature,

The better tranquility got hold of me.

Like the hustle of leaves was

My thoughts- Silent yet so

Powerful!

And then,

Together the leaves announced,

The wind's arrival.

As he kissed on my cheeks,

My eyes widened to see

The leaves smiling.

It was the wind,

Oh my!It was the wind,

Who kissed me!

As i sunbathe,

the water beneath me flowed.

Watching its path, felt I,

It's tranquility.

As I travel miles in the woods,

Or I think so,

Wonder I, what's so alike?

Wonder I, why i merge so good?
