THE GAZE THAT SPOKE

Stare is a lot different from a gaze. Not just vocabulary wise. Deep inside a girl will approve a gaze, devoid of lust but if someone stares her, she will always feel uncomfortable.
I must be those few late 'seers' of the movie Titanic. As a child I had always heard people talking about the eternal love between Rose and Jack. How Jack saved Rose and all but what moved me the most, when I finally saw the movie, was Jack's gaze.
"Gaily talking was Jack when he saw a fair complexioned(this has nothing to do with racism) first class lady on the deck with a frustrated face and quite a serious look. Not a lady type to be fiddled with. He could feel that she was brimming with a lot of complicated emotions inside. He knew she was not a lady to flirt with. A jaw dropping moment or a bulged eye gesture from the hero was expected. Though all sack into the broad ocean shining with the rays of sunlight. There was a purpose for him winning that ticket in the last minute'. Couldn't that been won by the other fellow? Then could that be called destiny?
A slightly furrowed brows, wrinkled temple, quite a serious look." Beauty and the third class fellow"-not an apt title.
His gaze was not a narrow minded one. He could see a struggling beauty. He could, in one look, guess who she was. It was not like a mind reader who reads people's mind. It was his instincts that told him. That slightly serious lips and those 'not bulged' eyes were more than enough for Rose to fall into his gaze, isn't? But did she? No, she was not in a state to think about any of that. She might have felt uncomfortable, but that must have been a result of all that she had experienced before. A rude fiance and a mother so sophisticated that she even forgot to care for her daughter. On his first sight, Jack didn't fall for her. It was just that he was too mesmerized that he held his breath.
Feeling attracted and falling in love are two different things. Romance did float around him but that doesn't mean he fell for her. If he had, that would have been lame. The fact is that he was amuse. This was the gaze was caught me. The gaze that I loved. A thirty second scene that contained so much emotions, so much meaning, along with the music, can be interpreted in a million ways, but altogether a masterpiece was born.
Jack was amazing, so was Rose.
